I have been hunting behind pointers for over 25 years. I will always remember my experiences with my grandfather, quail hunting with my Red Rider, while he was grinning from ear to ear. That is when my passion for English Pointers and upland bird hunting began. I got away from bird dogs for a few years and was involved with raising and showings Hereford cattle with my family, who are still very  involved at the state and national level. Then in 2003 I was called to active duty and spent a year in Iraq serving with the 1544th Transportation Company, out of Paris IL. There, I was promoted to sergeant, my rank was three chevrons or “stripes” which evolved into the name for my kennel, Three Stripes. My wife Amanda and I were married in 2002 and reside in my hometown with our daughter Grace.

My lines consist of Elhew, Ch Island Grove Brute, with a mix of HOF Ch Erin's Southern Justice influence.  My dogs are bred for conformation, style, natural ability, and most importantly an extreme obsession with finding and pointing birds. My pups are whelped and raised in a scott kennel. They are up to date on vaccinations and wormer. Pups are handled daily from birth and encouraged to run and explore on their own.   I occasionally offer started dogs. I pride myself on raising natural, intelligent BIRDDOGS that anyone would be glad to own.
